Did you get an email in September about your BetterHelp refund?
If you got an email in September asking you to choose a payment method for your BetterHelp refund, please use this online form. To get a payment, you must make your selection before October 11, 2024.
We began sending BetterHelp refunds in June 2024. Now, we are reaching out to eligible consumers who didn’t accept their payment.

What is the settlement about?
BetterHelp agreed to pay $7.8 million to settle charges brought by the FTC.
The FTC says that, among other things, BetterHelp promised to keep users’ information private but revealed data to Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Criteo for advertising purposes. This data included email addresses, IP addresses, and personal answers to health questions. BetterHelp offered online counseling through several websites, including:

iCounseling • Regain • Terappeuta
What are my payment options?
If you did not already accept your refund and got an email in September giving you more time to claim your payment, please use this online form to choose your payment method by October 11, 2024.
You can choose:
- a Zelle payment
- a check in the mail
- or a PayPal payment.
To make a selection, you will need the Payment Code from the email you received.
When will I get my payment?
We began sending payments in mid-June 2024. We plan to continue sending payments through the fall.
Who is eligible for a payment?
People are eligible for a payment if they signed up and paid for services from a BetterHelp website between August 1, 2017, and December 31, 2020. BetterHelp offered online counseling through several websites, including: BetterHelp, MyTherapist, Teen Counseling, Faithful Counseling, Pride Counseling, iCounseling, Regain, and Terappeuta, which are all included in the refund program.
