RE: Consumer Privacy 1997 - Request to Participate, P954807

Dear Mr. Clark:

I am writing to request that Children's Television Workshop (CTW) be permitted to participate in Session Three: Children's Online Privacy of the Commission's Public Workshop on Consumer Information Privacy to be held on June 12 and June 13, 1997.

CTW is a not-for-profit company using media to educate and delight children and families worldwide. Its expertise encompasses programming for traditional and new media, as well as publishing, product licensing, and community outreach.

As part of this larger effort to reach children with educational material, CTW will be expanding its online Website. While we have not been able to provide you with written comments to meet your April 15 deadline, we would appreciate an opportunity to share some of our thinking about children's online privacy at the June workshop.

I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about this request or to provide you with any further information you may need.

Sincerely,

Direct Dial (212) 875-6632/Fax (212) 875-6111
