It bothers me that some agencies will use anonymous remailers or false subject headings in order to trick me into reading their email. I would like to suggest that any legislation not block bulk email in its entirety, but include penalties for companies that redirect email or obscure their origins. Online communication must be consensual. Fraudulent email subjects and remailing only serve to anger people and leave them feeling violated.
