I had been receiving about five to seven telemarketing phone calls every day of the week at my home number. I called Bell Atlantic to inquire about options to block "unavailable" calls. These types of calls were listed as "unavailable" on my caller ID. Bell Atlantic said they do not offer this service, but suggested that I should write to Telemarketing Sales and request my name be taken off the national listing. I wrote the letter to Telemarketing Sales.

I have noticed a reduction in calls. However, I am still receiving about three to four calls a day.

I believe that telemarketing calls should be illegal.
