Telemarketing should be banned. I am constantly harassed by these people who, regardless of being told to "place me on their do not call list" .. continue to call me. The calls wake me up.. Disturb my meals & interrupt my evenings and family time. I tried an unlisted phone number..would you believe I still received these annoying calls..generated from computers calling random numbers and God knows where. In desperation, I purchased an answering machine that I have to leave on all the time to monitor these calls ..Unfortunately many of my friends and or acquaintances prefer not to talk to my machine and often hang up ... long distant callers do the same. I pay for the privilege of having a phone for my use... not for telemarketers ... Please..Please tell me how to put a STOP to this practice.
