I had someone opens accounts using only my SSN in 1987; I "cleared" my report by dozens of letters and phone calls, only to have one Credit Reporting Agency's computer spit it all back on my "cleared" report 2 years later. Adding "consumer statement/alerts" to one's account does nothing--I did so in 1992, and companies continue to add the wrong person's bad accounts to mine--even when they show a different name. I am now known as two people to CRAs--despite 12 yrs of letters writing and in person visits. NLPearce |
