Gentlemen:

We are writing to you as counsel for Hyde Athletic Industries, Inc., of Post Office Box 6046, 13
Centennial Drive, Peabody, Massachusetts 01961.  Hyde Athletic Industries, Inc., wishes to
participate in the workshop now scheduled for March 26 and March 27, 1996.  In lieu of a formal
submission of comments required in the Notice of December 19,1995, and in particular of
requirement Cl., requiring the submission of substantive written comments, Hyde respectfully
requests that its correspondence with the Federal Trade Commission, Chicago Regional Office, in
ongoing proceedings entitled "in the Matter of Hyde Athletic Industries, Inc.," file number 922-3236, be accepted as such comments.  We request that the comments be limited to the following
documents, copies of which are enclosed:

1.   September 15, 1995, letter, David Wolf to Mr. C. Steven Baker, Director, Chicago
     Regional Office, in response to

2.   August 17, 1995, letter from C. Steven Baker to David Wolf

3.   August 3, 1995, letter from David Wolf to Theresa McGrew, Esq., Federal Trade
     Commission, Chicago, Illinois.

We submit herewith six copies of this request and its attachments.  Parties that may participate on
behalf of Hyde Athletic Industries are John Fisher and Kenneth Graham.
