This letter is in reference to the proposed change in the percentage of Made in the USA.

We should not change the standard that is supposed to be 98%. We should maintain this standard and give the consumers the Truth in Advertising.

I look for the Made in the USA and it is very difficult to find. What is the percentage of imports? 80%?

We should not allow products made elsewhere to have the USA label; such as New Balance Shoes and Stanley Tools. How about the automobile industry?

We should protect the consumers and REWARD the manufacturers that are remaining in the USA to display the Made in the USA.

Protection needed from loosing anymore jobs. We need the Truth in Advertising. Made in the USA should remain at the present standard.

Thank you.

Earl E. Marian
