I agree that more serious and firm guidelines are needed when requesting information from children under the age of 13. Today's tweens'teens are internet savvy enough to most likely know how to get around this deleting messages before they are viewed or a number of other tricks. Why is this information so valuable other that for expensive marketing ploys? Must it be gathered before children can "play" on their favorite site? These are among the questions I ask myself when contemplating the passage of such an amendment and WHO is supporting it? NOT THE PARENTS! The Big Companies have enough...leave some small pleasures such as playing online on approved sites...to today's already concerned parents!
