For four years I have been attempting to have the credit reporting companies correct my credit reports...After I filed Chapter 7 in 2001..a unknown person used my first name and social number to obtain credit... I have sent numerous documents, and letters, to the credit reporting companies and nothing has been done... I inclosed with the letters notarized police reports and ID theft data, to validate my claim....At this time, I am paying a interst rate of 19% for a loan for a auto. I have paid on this loan for over a year without any payments being late or missed . However,.I can not transfer to a lower rate because of the credit reports.. I am a disabled senior with a limited income..and feel that I have been subjected to discrimation by the credit reporting companies.which has resulted in being refused credit because of the Chapter 7 and the errors on my credit reports... I would be grateful for any assistance on this ongoing discrimation. by these companies.... Thank you Catherine A. Chilewski
