THE ALCOHOL INDUSTRY CANNOT POLICE ITS OWN ADVERTISING BECAUSE OF THE INHERENT CONFLICT OF INTEREST THEY HAVE. SALES IS THE PURPOSE OF ADVERTISING, THUS THE ALCOHOL INDUSTRY WILL DO ANYTHING TO INCREASE SALES [TARGET UNDERAGE YOUTH, HISPANIC WOMEN, GLAMOROUSNESS, ENERGY DRINKS, SPORTS EVENTS ........WITHOUT REGARD FOR DEATH AND DISEASE CAUSED BY THEIR PRODUCT, AS WELL AS DOMESTIC DISCORD, VIOLENCE AND ACCIDENTS, AUTO INJURY, FETAL ALCOHOL SYNDROME HANDICAPS TO BABIES, FAS PERSONS IN PRISONS]. IF THE ALCOHOL INDUSTRY HAD TO APPLY ITS PROFITS TO THE DAMAGE IT ENGENDERS - THAT MIGHT QUELL THEIR GREED AND CHANGE THEIR SELL, SELL, SELL STATUS. TO HOPE THEY WILL WILLINGLY AND WITH A CONSCIENCE CHANGE THEIR AIMS, IS A COMPLETE FANTASY.
