The Alcohol Industry does not seem willing to appropriately monitor their advertising. Much of the industry's advertising targets youth using cartoons, animals and very suggestive, sexually explicit ads. Our youth group (high school age students) who serve as peer and adult educators on the issue of preventing underage drinking note this in their review of advertising and support the fact that alcohol ad target people their age and younger. More structure and manadates on the alchohol industry's advertising is timely and critical to stop this exploitation.
