Business Opportunity Rule 511993 Opposition Gentlemen: This ruling would severly impact those of us who earn a living in the network marketing arena, creating hardships that could cripple many of us. When rleaders such as Rober Kiyosaki, Steven Covey and even Donald Trump support and encourage network marketing as a way to create business success, this would be a serious blow to our industry. Several specific points to illustrate this negative impact: Having a seven day waiting period effectively makes online sign-ups and many face-to-face sign-ups impossible. Essentially, one would have to sell the prospective distributor twice. With over 13 million distributors working in this business, it is clearly a widely accepted method of business transacting. There has never been a more professional and ethical group of people running the top companies in this field, with impeccible credentials and ethics. Please don't inhibit us from doing our business properly. My wife, Jan and myself entered the network marketing business fairly recently, about a year ago, after relentless pursuit from a dear friend, who also had never been invloved in the network marketing business. We began drinking XanGo juice for several months, then found that it was a valid product, backed by solid medical research, and decided we would share the story of the juice, which continues to be used in Southeast Asia for many health ailments, and which has had amazing success with a wide range of health issues. We consider ourselves healthy, yet drinking this juice on a daily basis has all but stopped my severe alergies, caused me to sleep through the night, no longer snoring, and improved my digestive system. The business, which we have been learning and studying with leaders from around the country, has also changed our lives for the better. We have more money for college funds, for living expenses and allowed us to help others do the same. The relatively small investment allows for a level playing field. Moms, teachers, and in fact, people from all walks of life have, through the wonderful network marketing business, a chance to change their lives financially and improve their health as well as the health of others. It would be an excessive burden to require substantiated evidence to back up income claims, and we feel that those of us who are ethical do not present false or inflated claims, merely show the potential earnings, and also provide examples of the top distributors as proof that anyone can reach the top. You see, unlike other business that require large cash outlays and training to start, there is a level playing field in the network marketing business. Regardless of age, background, experience or education, anyone can get involved in a network marketing business for small investment of time and money, and potentially build a business that will share health solutions with others, and greatly improve one's financial status. As for previous litigation disclosures, this should be required ONLY if the party was found guilty of fraud or misrep. As we have found, after extensive research and personal meetings with many recognized leaders in this industry (most of whom have been in it for over 20 years or more), we have found honesty, and caring people who enjoy the sharing aspect of the business. They support good clean business practices and generously share their knowledge and experience with others, as we all benefit from each other's success. One of the reasons we liked XanGo as a company and product, aside from its obvious health benefits, is the solid people who are buiding it and the fact that we all share in a "global pool" of total earning fo the company. This sort of profit sharing is not present in any other business model. As for full disclosure of cancelation policy, this is a good idea and we fully support this. Thanks for your consideration.
