I strongly oppose the proposed Busines Opportunity Rule R511993. Because of some bad company's plan, please don't punish all of us. If you pass this, it will make it very difficult for me to do my Shaklee business. This I started doing some 33 years ago because of the way Shaklee does business with people. People helping people learn how to take better care of their healthy, enironment and a way to add to their family income if the wish, with no risk to them. There is NO goverment plan that can help make a difference for Americias like the plam Shaklee has. Most of the members that enroll into Shaklee do so to get a better price for the products that they want to order. This is what I did. After useing some of the products, I told others so they could have a better day by feeling better. This is how Shaklee has worked for 50 years. If the products and plan did not help people make a difference Shaklee would not be here today. The seven day waiting period to enroll as a new member is going to be a hardship not only on Shaklee business builders but on the consumer too. To become a Shaklee member it only takes $19.95 and that member can order at that time any or no products and save off the retail price, with a 100% guarantee on the products. I don't think you are going to make companies that sell over TV, have thier customers wait SEVEN DAYS. The requirement of disclosureing of 10 prior purchasers to the prospective purchaser of my business is not for me. I do not give other peoples info out. This is one of the reasons we have so much problems with identity theft today. When I enroll someone and they may be enrolled in another direct selling company and use this info as a invitation to solicit existing members into that group. This will also require alot more paper work and make it alot hard to enroll others into building their Shaklee program. Shaklee has made it alot easer for people to build their business by doing most all of the paper work, so we can teach and train others to do what we do. With this thing that you are about to pass just will make it harder and harder for us to do our jobs. When people earn money, you people get money so think about all the things that this will do. Think about this, a company just gets started, do they have any lawsuits that allege misrepresentation or unfair or deceptive practices over a ten year period? It does not matter if the company was found innocen or not liable. Now a company that has been in business 50 years. It does not make sense to disclose this info unless they were found guilty or lialbe. This puts older companys at a disadvantage compare to a new company just starting. Companys that have been around 50 years stand for something, when people talk the word gets around. Watch the new ones and see what happens and then take the laws we have today and put some BITE into them.
