Our company offers parents the opportunity to earn as little or as much as they need without major commitment in expense or time. This business opportunity rulling will undoubtably change who we are and what we do. Most likely, we will be forced to shut down our operations as a home based business and simply become a wholesale or retail company...putting thousands of our home based business families out of business. The ruling makes it too cumbersome and expensive for a company our size to comply. The home based business owners that represent Homemade Gourmet are simple families trying to help make ends meet or give their families a little extra to take a vacation, have a second car, or even save up college tuition. Without this opportunity, they are left with few options to make those things a reality. Some will choose to take second hourly jobs, sacrificing the time they could be working at home, with their family. T he American family needs to find more time to connect...not less. We see the impact of family time together in all kinds of studies (J.A.M.A, C.A.S.A.)...so why would we want to take away an opportunity like this to help bring families together while still achieving their financial needs. I am aware that there are instances of people who take advantage and misrepresent the home based business opportunity...just as there are instances of fraud in charitable fundraising, buying a home, buying insurance, etc... But we can't let those few instances take away that which empowers millions more to take the opportunity, represent it well and achieve their family priorities. Our distributors not only fund their own families, they raise funds for many charitable organizations as well...including World Vision, Cancer Society, Heart Association and many others. Without this home based business...this giving would not continue. Please stop this ruling...it will devastate this industry and all the good it does. Sincerely, Tami VanHoy Founder Homemade Gourmet, Inc.
