Comments:
First, thank you for your continued effort to protect the consumer. However, I believe that the new proposed ruling goes beyond protection to maybe the unintended effort to stifle our free enterprise system. Our Direct Selling Industry has been praised by Presidents and members of Congress of giving an opportunity for many to earn extra money and that the industry adds to the growth of the economy. Also, there will be thousands of us in the industry that will not only suffer the increase expense and time on complience to the new ruling, but also put a waiting period on anyone that would desire to come part of a direct selling business. We already have rules allowing for people to back out up to 30 days and receiving all their money back. What was intended for good by the FTC will actually cause much harm to not only present direct selling businesses, but also stifle the freedom of adult individuals in making their own decisions. Thank you for the ability to respond in this manner. May our precious freedom continue. Bob Grammer
