To whom it may concern, I am very opposed to the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993.The rule would make it very difficult for me to have a Shaklee Business. I have been with Shaklee for over 27 years and I trust them to not do anything that would cause harm to any person. They are very ethical in everything they do. Having people wait 7 days to enroll would make it almost impossible for anyone to do the business in the way that is best for the customers. Most of the people want just to buy products and want them as soon as possible. I can see where the 7 day waiting period would make sense if the customer were getting a car or TV or another big ticket item. The cost of the membership is on $19.95 . One they become a member they can get the products they would like. Shaklee has a policy that says they will buyback products, even the member kit . How fair it that?? To me there is a lot to this proposed Rule that would hurt not only me but so many others who want to have a business at home. (for me that is Shaklee) My husband and I have so much to be thankful for being with Shaklee . He has been very ill and we really depend on what I make with my little home based business. I know that you are looking to protect comsumers but I do believe that this bill would hurt more people than it would help. I am sure you can find anther way to accomplish your goal with taking away this opportunity for us to continue have this business we so love.
