Comments:
Rule R511993 will hurt my business. I have been in the direct selling business for 24 years and no one in my organization has been affected negatively. There is no mininum purchase. All unwanted items can be returned. Anyone can leave the business at any time. The seven day waiting period is unnecessary. Most contracts allow 72 hrs. to cancel why would we have to wait seven days to sign someone up? The additional burdensome paperwork would make it difficult for someone like myself to comply. Most of my customers would not even read the material. Most of us in this business do not make a lot of money and also have full time jobs. I work a full time job and part-time job to make ends meet. Please do not but this extra burden on me and my partners. I know the FTC wants to protect consumers but the new rule is unnecessary and puts a heavy burden on us. Please reconsider adopting this new rule.
