Boyd Evans  FTC/ Office of the Secretary, Room H -135 (Annex W) Re: Business Opportunity Rule, R511993 600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW Washington, DC 20250 Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to you because of the proposed Rule R511993. In its present form this rule could prevent me from continuing in my direct selling business. The seven day waiting period will be confusing and burdensome. People buy major appliances every day without a waiting period. This rule makes it look like there is something wrong with the plan or products I sell. Our company already has a 90% buyback policy on product and sales kits purchased in the last 12 months. Why should I have to tell someone about lawsuits? Today anyone can sue for almost anything. Your rules do not make a distinction of guilt or innocence. Nearly every business is protected from disclosing information about customers or associates. This rule invades all principals of privacy. I understand that FTC’s work is to protect the public, but this new rule has many unintended consequences and there are less burdensome alternatives available to meet its goals. Thank you, Boyd Evans
