I am new in the direct selling business, I have been selling Mary Kay for almost a year and Pampered Chef for 3 months. If I would of had to look at how many people stopped there business it would have made a difference on my decision to start direct sales. My family has truely benefited from these opportunities. It has enabled me to stay at home with my 1 year old daughter and still provide an income to my family. I am very concerned about these new laws because just because some people fail doesn't mean that others won't succeed and by making these new laws people out there who are truely interested will be given a very negative start. I do Mary Kay at a hobby level, but I treat the pampered chef as a true job and it makes me money in a few short months I have promoted with the company and hopefully look forward to growing my business with out the government making it any harder. This is a tuff business and it takes determination and a strong will to succeed , and with these proposed new laws will just make the lives of alot of women just trying to stay at home and raise there children harder. I just have to ask why? My sister in law is very invlolved in her Mary Kay business and it is soon going to let her leave her excecutive position making very good money, also she will be given a free car next month. These are the stories that people need to hear when thinking about starting there own business!!!!!!! That is what I heard before making my decision which has changed my life!
