I have been a multilevel marketing distributor since 1983 and am horrified at the content of this Business Opportunity Rule. It would effectively put out of business all distributors such as myself. Many companies such as the one I sell for, charge little or nothing for signing up as a distributor, and to require that all distributors have to provide all this paperwork to a prospect and then have to wait a period of days before signing them up -- this is ridiculous! The company I am selling for, allows a person to cancel the transaction with a full refund within a certain number of days, so why put an additional burden on us? If such an item must be considered, please modify it so as to state that this applies only to companies charging $500 or more to sign up as a distributor. That would make a lot more sense! Thank you.
