I have read the new rule and I have to say that it does make sense for new direct selling companies just starting out. But I want to tell you all the good things that have happened in my life because I was able to start my business with PartyLite right away. I am a 23 year old mother. Nearly 3 months after giving birth to my daughter I was diagnosed with Lupus. A year later we lost our health insurance. My medications ran us nearly $400 a month. Without my business I could not have paid for my prescriptions. Nor would my family have a roof over their heads. Sometimes life throws obstacles in our way and direct sales in a great way to make money fast. Esspecailly when it is a fabulous company as PartyLite. I think that a 7 day waiting period is not necessary esspecailly when the company will buy back the product. As a consultant I always make sure that people who are interested get all the information they need. It would be very difficult to provide refernces geographically considering that some of the places I do business there are no other consultants. And not to mention a violation of peoples privacy. I know that without my business my family could not have what they have. I have the ability to make my own schedule and give myself a raise at anytime. There are so many more positive things that direct sales brings into a persons and families life. Esspecially when there are emergencies that come up and sometimes you need to be able to get a pay check as soon as possible. I hope that you look at the positives in direct sales. Please look at the impact a 7 day waiting period would make on everyone. Because in my situation and many other people that I know a seven day waiting period will hold up a new consultant being able to earn income right away.
