Dear FTC: This letter is in response to the Business Opportunity Rule. My husband and I own a business with 300 employees. We have a saying called the 2% rule for our guests and employees that goes like this: Why punish 98% of the honest direct marketing entrepreneurs with over burdensome buracracy and paper work because 2% of them are unscrupulous? Our business would be bogged down, less profitable and less friendly for our honest guests if we let the 2% dictate our policies. Please devise rules to affect the 2% like "3 strikes you have to follow the rules or you are out of business". I understand and appreciate your intent however this law punishes way more people than it protects. I will refrain from going through the detail of the provisions and how they will punish the honest little guy because I know many others will be enlightening you of the details. Sincerely, Kaaren C.
