I know you'll be lobbied hard by the MLM industry to strike down these proposed regulations, but I would ask that you please do not cave in to them. All too many of the people behind these alleged opportunities want to deliberately hide their past, and the reality of their programs, relavant to true income potential, and what's required to achieve it. While "puffery" has long been acknowledged in advertising as legal, outright deception is not. These regulations would provide a much-needed cooling off period whereas the person being recruited would have time to step back and truly evaluate whether this is something they'd like to be a part of. Consider it this way: If the industry as a whole were totally forthcoming with potential customers, this regulation would be a waste of time and effort for the FTC. The industry as a whole, in my view, does a nonexistant job of policing itself, and this rule must be enacted. Thank you, Gerald Connolly
