This would adversly affect my success in sponsoring new consultants. I am so opposed to this. The business I run is not only a legitmate and fair business, it is fun and exciting to introduce to new people. But it does take motivation to start any new business, and your new policy would lower that motivation by making interested persons wait. Most new consultant need the extra income, that's why they start a new business. If you tell them they have to wait a week, that tells them to wait longer for a paycheck too. Also, to ask for 10 references is an invasion of privacy for some consultants. None of us want to be known as "that sales lady", we enjoy our business because we get to choose our customers and who we want to share the opportunity with. If I don't think someone would make a friendly consultant than I would'nt want to share that with them. I represent a growing number of friendly and outgoing women who love the business they are in. It takes motivated goal oriented people to sell candles. Please do not make it any more difficult to be a salesperson in this world. I am a single mom of three, and depend on my seeling candles to help pay the bills and ensure I can be at home with my children.
