This legislation should not apply to ALL businesses! I am involved with 3 businesses -- one that I own, one that my husband owns, and one that is a direct selling organization (PartyLite). These are ALL legitimate businesses that have conducted honest business operations for decades, so to suddenly have our business practices hindered is absurd because of the other "fly by night" companies that exist out there giving the rest of us a bad name. It is crucial that the FTC either considers not pursuing this legislation any further or at least considers restricting the legislation to apply to perhaps businesses that have only operated for a shorter period of time and/or within the typical industries that the majority of fraudulent activity is occurring within. It seems as though this legislation will become just one more data tracking nightmare for everyone involved anyway. I urge the FTC to truly rethink this legislation so that we honest businesses can continue to conduct our normal flow of business management. Thank you for allowing us business owners to be heard about this matter. Kind regards, Debra Schneider-Howland President, Computer Sense LLC
