To Whom It May Concern: I am a party-lite Consultant in Michigan. I heard that you are trying to put through a bill to watch unscrupuous businesses who scam people. Party-lite is not like that. We care for the people. They take care of us. The seven day waiting period could hurt our business and here in Mich. we are hurting enough right now. If a new consultant wants to join you want to propose that they wait seven days then join. This could hurt us and their business as well. They are excited and want to join and their friends want to come to a party they are having. Sometimes they may want to join maybe 5 days before the end of the month and we wouldn't be able to do this. The new consultant would loose her enthusiasum and that of her friends. You are also proposing ten required refrences when someone joins. People don't want to be bombarded with people calling them all the time about wether they are ligit or not. I also think that this might be on the verge of invasion of privacy by giving out phone numbers to people, When they want to join we help them as much as we can. WE invite them to our unit meetings once a month & regional meetings once a month. They can come and see us do shows. They can ask us whatever ques. they want and they can call our party-lite headquarters and talk to them about things. Party-lite Candles are very helpful & kind & considerate to their people. We just had our Party-lite convention in Washington D.C. last July. We had 10.000 consultants & leaders there alone besides all the other people, They were very organized and Washington was very considerate of us being there. The people who served at our banquet the last night were very polite and very nice. WE had a great time there and plan on coming back there some other time. The bill is fine to catch companies who are scam artists but for our company you would be doing more harm then good. Please consider what I told you. Thank you for your time.
