Direct Selling represents economic free enterprise in action. To hamper the way millions of Americans use to earn or supplement an income by imposing unnecessary governmental burdening regulations will surely stifle the life blood of this republic and could lead the public into a slave state. The FTC has a responsibility to God and to man to do what is right. The FTC must never forget that it is accountable to the people it serves and to God who gives it authority. My prayer is that the FTC will evaluate its purpose for existence--not from temporal perpectives but by the eternal standards of righteousness. There are adequate laws on the books that govern direct selling. I see no valid reason for the FTC to impose more legislation that will burden its people. David A. Darbro, MD
