FTC, Thank you for allowing me to voice my concerns reguarding the rule changes proposed in,Business Opportunity Rule,R511993. I feel that your efforts to stop fraudulant scams is nessesary, but you sould'nt wreck legitimate, honest businesses in the process. For my wife and I to meet the requirements proposed, I believe we would not be able to help people the way we have. The lists of both people and litigation required in the proposed rules, would expose people to a loss of privacy and put us at a disadvantage in that we would have to provide honest information, while scams would just provide fraudulant information. The seven day waiting period will present an impression of dishonesty and will make our efforts to help people start their business, very time consuming and inefficient. Although your intensions are correct, I feel your throwing the baby out with the bath-water! Please reconsider and take the input from experts in the direct selling industry, ( companies who have conducted good business ethics for years) and allow them to help you clean up our industry for all. Thank you.
