Dear FTC, I am a 26 year old mother, who had a very lucrative corporate job prior to the birth of my son this past year. I was accustomed to a certain lifestyle typical of a double income, no children house hold as both my husband and I worked full time. However, my husband and I divorced not long after the birth of our child and I was left with the decision on whether or not to go back to work and leave my beautiful new baby boy, Roman, in day care. Thank heavens for the XanGo opportunity! I could've gone back to work at my 9-5pm job, however I have dreams of building my own life and my dreams and thank heavens for direct selling/ network marketing! For 35$ and no risk to my personal capital or credit I was/am able to build my own company and work as much or as little as I want from my own home with my little baby by my side! I made this decision easily as I was raised in this industry, my parents were wildly successful on both the distribution and corporate side of Network Marketing. As a direct result I was able to live and attend exclusive schools in Canada, the US, Italy, Korea, Hawaii and travel to other exotic locations such as Switzerland, Malaysia, Thailand, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Peurto Rico, just to name a few. For 26 years I have been involved in this industry and am proud to be a part of this powerful movement with empowers the everyday man to achieve what is nearly impossible in corporate America, financial independence and a residual income. As a single mother I am able to make an extra 1400.00$ a month thru my XanGo business above and beyond my 1600.00$ a month salary as my father's assistant to his XanGo business, where he earns an astounding 26,000.00$ a month! Thank God for XanGo and the empowerment it gives me as a new mother and a newly single woman. I don't tell anyone what we make as to not make any income claims, but I want you to know just what a great influence network marketing has been in my life. Because of XanGo I am directing teleconferences for 50-100 people weekly and holding regular meetings in my home or at hotels, where I have spoken to 3-5,000 people. Before XanGo I was afraid to talk in church to the congregation. I am getting out of my "comfort" zone and genuinely helping others. And only a network marketing company would put a 20 something year old out on stage and allow her the power to create her own destiny, this is the only business where my "boss" or upline wants me to be more successful then themselves. "A rising tide raises all ships together." I appreciate the FTC's consumer protection priorities, but want you to know that I am concerned for this rulings possible impact on legitimate direct selling companies such as XanGo. I understand that there are fraudulent groups out there, but this particular rule unfairly targets legitimate direct selling businesses. The seven day waiting period would devestate my sales, it would cast the direct selling plan in a negative light and embarass me with my prospects. It would cause record keeping and administrative problems, cause unnecessary delays and is basically impractical. I also ask that you eliminate the $500 business threshold because it forces the majority of direct selling companies to comply with other provisions of the proposed rule that are more appropriate for businesses requiring a greater investment than a direct selling sales kit. The litigation reporting is unfair in that it does not distinguish between winning and losing lawsuits, this is an irrelevant way of reporting almost all litigation regardless of the outcome. Every time I drink a can of coke I don't care how many times they've been in litigation! That's ridiculous! Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter, I plead with you for my family, my friends and all those whose lives have been touched by XanGo and Network marketing, allow us the freedom to excel! Sincerely, Daniela Raynes XanGo Distributo
