I am writing this letter because I am opposed to Rule R511993 I am an independent rep. for Fuel Freedom International, my husband is disabled he was exposed to agent orange and we are living on a fixed income. I became a distributor for FFI after trying the product, it truly works not only am I able to save money but make additional income which is greatly needed.I understand that the FTC's responsibilty is to protect the public from unfair and deceptive practices,but some of the sections in the proposed rule will make it almost impossible for me to sell Fuel Freedom International products. I am opposed to the 7 day waiting period to enroll distributors for a cost of $259.00,people buy Appliances and cars for much more than that and there's no waiting period,the company gives a 100% money back guarantee if you're not satisfied with the product, with the 7 day wait period people will think that there's something wrong with the product or the compensation plan. The Litigation info does not make sense Why should we have to disclose lawsuits against the company unless the company was found guilty that makes me and the company look bad even though we have did nothing wrong. Finally the proposed rule wants info on a minimum of 10 prior purchases nearest to the prospective purchaser people don't want their personal info given out to strangers because of identity theft, I have no problem with providing references but I am uncomfortable with giving out personal information this will greatly my ability to sign up distributors and purchasers of Fuel Freedom International products. I truly do appreciate the work that the FTC does to protect consumers but I believe Rule R511993 has unintended consequences and that there must be an alternative way to achieve your goal.If this rule goes into effect this will truly put a hardship on my family.
