I think this rule would impact all home-based business in a negative way. This rule would impact my ability to grow my business and help my consultants grow their businesses. One of the most specific items is the 7-day waiting period. This waiting period could be detrimental during end of month promotions, etc. My company provides a 30-day guarantee so the consumer/consultant can cancel within 30 days and get a full refund. Why not make a requirement that t cancellation provision be in the contract instead of the 7-day "cooling off" period. Under "Legal Actions", why not ask only for settlements that found the company/consultant at fault. This is too much paperwork and much ado about nothing in my opinion. The "refunds and cancellations" report is an uncessary burden of record-keeping for a small home-based business. It is a fact that home-based and multi-level marketing businesses are growing steadily, even more than the retail industry. I feel this is an attempt to involve government in regulation of true American entrepreneurship and it should be put to a halt. Protect consumers? Absolutely! Punish business owners who are legitimate to do it? Absolutely not! Thank you.
