This rule is an excellent idea. I personally lost thousands of dollars because a Quixtar (formerly Amway) representative seriously misrepresented income and expense information to me. However, I feel lucky compared to many other people I know who lost tens of thousands of dollars because of the representatives' misrepresentations. The dollar amount earned by Amway representatives was overstated. However, more importantly, I was told that I needed to purchase numerous "support materials" (books, tapes and tickets to rallies) in order for my business to work. I was NEVER told that my upline was making a substantial profit from the sale of these materials. I was never offered the opportunity to sell these items at a profit for myself.
