Federal Trade Commission RE: Business Opportunity Rule, R511993 Thank You for your time to review this. I am 59 years old and have worked in the same field for over forty years. It has been difficult working full time in an industry that is being hurt by jobs being sent offshore. Unfortunately the companies I have worked for did not have retirement benefits that allow for my retirement. I have been in the Network Marketing business for the last four or five years, trying to find a company that I was comfortable promoting. I am found such a company. It is called Xango. We have a fantastic product and the best group of owners anywhere . I commend you for your efforts in trying to protect me as an individual, but ask that you rethink the changes you are proposing to make to hurt the home base businesses. What you will see as a result from your changes will be a wider door for the crooks to storm through. Your seven day wait will cast doubt on those that need this business to earn extra money. It will hurt the efforts of someone like me who works a full time on a job, to go back and follow up seven days later. The record keeping will increase the time it takes to maintain the information for follow up. The time to gather names and information for the 10 nearest existing sales people, to gather the required data for earning claims, the reports of litigation with no clarity as to the outcome will limit the time available to earn an income working a business that is only part time. I had plans to makes my home based business my retirement supplement but it looks as if my part time will become full time to comply with rules. This will only open the door for the soundals to feed while the honest try to protect their reputation and do what is right. The chances of someone getting lied to, swindled and hooked and crooked will increase not to mention the possibility of identify theft with all the information we will be forced to give out to anyone that presumes to be interested. Please rethink what you have proposed and make it better for the working people. Thank you for your time. Fred
