While I agree that there needs to be regulations protecting the consumer from "fly-by-night" businesses, I believe that imposing a 7-day rule would severely limit many legitimate business operators from conducting and growing their business, including my home-sales business. Our products have been in production for over 11 years and our company and its distributors abide by a strict company standard of reimbursing the full amount paid for products or supplies within 12 months from the date of purchase for members signing up to start their own business. Most fraudulent businesses only offer 30-90 day windows for money-back offers. This ruling would affect companies with independent in-home distributors such as Mary Kay, Tupperware, Avon, Shaklee, Watkins, ServiceMaster, Pampered Chef, Partylite, Home Interiors, etc. All of these companies have long histories and successful business practices. Their key is the direct-selling home-based style of marketing. The seller builds a personal relationship with the customer. Please reconsider your 7-day ruling
