Federal Trade Commission Title: Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Subject Category: Business Opportunity Rule CFR Citation: 16 CFR Part 437 Concerning the above proposed rutling: To Whom It May Concern: My husband and I have been involved with our Home Business opportunity with the company called Melaleuca, Inc. out of Idaho Falls, Idaho for 16 plus years. It is our only means of income except for a small SSI check. We are both in our late 60's and 70's. We have never in 16 years deceived a person about the truth in work ethics about our business. The company is very close tight with the Federal Gov. regulations and we have utmost faith in them. Your proposal, as we read it, would greatly hinder any future growth to our business. We are offended by its wording, calling work at home opportunities a "scheme". Our business is 100% legitimate with the products being our focus. The hardship this new ruling would cause on all the Independent Marketing Executives in our company, would literally bring the company to its knees. This is our opinion only, not one of the company mentioned above. We have contracts our new customers sign and the company is very careful as to their legitimacy, as the responsible leaders in the field. The number of complaints compared to the numbers of satisfied customers is like an inch square of sand on all the beaches in the world. If this new ruling is approved, it will cause great revenue to once again be moved to other countries. We believe in government overseeing the laws of the land but this ruling is totally adding more government control to our wonderful daily lives. Enough is enough. There is always going to be bad apples in the barrel! Don't punish the majority because of them.
