I am totally new to the world of Network Markting. I come from a priviledged background and have only become involved in this industry because Xango is an incredible company and they represent a product I truly bellieve in. What bothers me the most about the possible change to this industry that would be brought on by this new action is the fact that once again the few fraudlent and parasitic companies have brought on a possible act that would in the end hurt the many good and viable companies who have gone to great efforts to do things properly. In the short time I have been involved with Xango and therefore network marketing, one thing has stood out as the most positive: the type of people this industry reaches out to and how it helps to make a difference in thier lives. This industry is the americal dream for many. Not everyone in the US has the opportunity to be college educated and enter the professional world of success. Yet at these meetings, I have met bright and active people who despite these setbacks, have found a way to be a success, financially and personally, through this industry - an industry of people who love helping people. I know there are bad eggs out there, but why is it the american way to always bring down everyone - the good with the bad? Is there not a way to test, characterize, study each company as a whole and if they pass a certain criteria of professionalism then they can be exempt from this strict formula you have proposed? This governmental action set up to rid us of the parisites in direct marketing has the potential to destroy an industry that i have seen first hand helping the middle american find success. If more stringent guidleines were set up for blossoming direct sales companies, then it may weed out the weak and allow more quality companies to be created like Xango. There are so few opportunites for the middle american. Does it always have to be the few that take away the hope and good of many? I am a proud distributer of a great company who represents a great product, but I do not need to be. But I have met and felt the excitment and pride of many others who need to be a part of this industry for their finances and for the measurement of thier self worth. I understand your concerns and the need for you to protect us, but do you have to destroy us in the process? Thank you for your consideration. Caroline Jones
