Comments:
Dear FTC, I would like to ask that you not pass this new proposed Business Opportunity Rule. I think that it makes it very difficult for ordinary people to have their own home-based business. It puts a huge burden on regular people to file paperwork in order to recruit people to use and/or sell products that they like. I understand that the reason for this new Business Opportunity rule is to protect consumers and I appreciate the fact that the FTC is doing this for our good. However, I think that credible companies are already protecting the consumer. I know that Advocare has always been fair in offering guarantees and returns if anyone changes their mind. I think that the companies that are abusing consumers by not following the current Franchise rule that is already in place are probably doing other illegal practices. I think that if the current rule is enforced it will sufficiently protect the consumer. Thank you for acknowledging my comments. Eunice Coughlin
