Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of the Federal Trade Commisssion, I write this letter to you with the sincerest desire for you to listern to my humble opinions. The way that millions of people earn their living is under attack with the proposal of "Notice of Proposed Rulemaking" and the subjects that are covered in it. While fraudulent scams are out there, the emphasis on any new rules need to be centered on the individuals and companies out there who seek to defraud individuals. Recruitment and building downlines is a method of building our personal businesses. Most direct selling companies offer new recruits the option of reversing their commitment; lia sophia simply asks for the return of their merchandise and a small restocking fee if a new recruit opts to cancel their new advisorship. That said, I would like to state that seven days is a long time to cool one's excitement about a new opportunity, no matter how promising it is! People just look elsewhere for information, and in the case of direct sales, the news is dubious, hence dampening their enthusiasm. The result for us sellers? Hugely diminished sales and recruiting. Why would you want to dampen the productivity to something that represents such a huge market share? Please, I implore you to instead create new rules that crack down hard on those who actually do commit fraud. The millions of people out their building their dreams by selling something they believe in to people who love what they are getting at a good value far outweigh the scammers. We honest sellers in business need to continue to assist potential new recruits to be introduced to the same opportunity at the ideal moment! A note to add, is that we can only enroll a new recruit after they had read an entire disclosure agreement! These are people who want to join because all of the benefits have been laid out in front of them, as well as requirements of them! I hope that this makes sense, because I just wish that new rules had been proposed that didn't severely limit the way I do business, but these proposed rules do! Why not just audit the companies and their contractors, to make sure everybody is complying with what is lawful and right? Thanks for listening, everyone.
