To the F.T.C.. First I support your effort in protecting people from fraudilent businesses. I have been an Quixtar I.B.O. for four years. My experience with Quixtar has been wonderfull and I have always been treated with respect and honesty from the corporation. When I registerd with the company I was given more than enough information to be able to make an informed decision on weather or not I wanted to register with them. In my own business when I sponsor another person I make sure they have the same information if not more than I did when I registerd. I have never had anyone get upset after they had registerd and wish they had had more information that what they were provided. I make every effort to inform them that this is not a "get rich quick" plan ,and it will take real work to be succesfull in this business. I make sure they know exactly how much money they will be spending to register and also an average of how much it will cost to run the business after they are registerd. I would also like to take issue with the section dealing with the "litigation list". I feal that this would hurt my own and my other I.B.O.'s businesses. I feal that this information Should be available to someone making a decision about business but we should not be required to give them this information. Much litigation ivolved in bussiness like this only involves one or two I.B.O.s and is not an acurate representation of the company or the many other I.B.O.s who were not involved in any particular litigation. I belive being "required" to provide the list would hurt my reputation as a business owner even though I have never been involved in any litigation. I also belive it would be harmfull to our business to display litigation that has no merit. In this day and age we know people will sue over the most trivial things and I dont belive that those cases without merit should be shown to anyone but the parties involved. I also have to take issue with the "requirement for financial substantaition". When I register a new I.B.O. I do go over the earning potential they have through the business and let them know the "monthly average income of an active I.B.O." according to the information given on the Quixtar website. Thank you for reading this letter and taking my comments into consideration. In closing I would like to say that I am glad you are taking those dishonest businesses to task and I support your effort, but please be carfull not to do anything that will hurt or slow down the growth of my own or any other honest I.B.O.s bussiness in an attempt to weed out the dishonest ones. Thank you, Christopher L. George
