I am employed full time as a Police Officer, and I am building my business to help supplement my income. I plan to use the income to supplement my retirement as well. If prospects are prohibited from registering as soon as they want to, this will greatly hamper my ability to build my business around an already hectic schedule dealing with Court obligations, and Family obligations as well. When a prospect comes to one of our business meetings, he/she is often surprised to see persons they already know at the meeting so having to provide 10 'references' would be yet another business slowing effect. The idea of having to list legal allegations is absolutely ridiculous...As a Police Officer allegations of wrong doing are commonplace, it is the nature of what we do, and quite often after investigations are completed the allegations are unfounded. At the very heart of what the Quixtar Corporation offers is "OPPORTUNITY".....to be in business for oneself without the burdensome costs and headaches of traditional bricks and mortar businesses. In todays life where Husband and Wife are hard at work trying to make ends meet each working at least one job, and often the other working a part time job....Do you really want to make it more difficult for us to build our future, our dreams, our business? When I show this opportunity to a prospect, I can look into their eyes and see the possibilites of ' what can be' being revived inside the prospect. To have the ability start a business on a shoestring budget, and to start right away without burdensome rules is what makes this opportunity turn from a Dream, to a Reality. Dont turn it into a Nightmare. Work with the Direct Sellers Association, Quixtar, and the IBOAI to adopt a set of rules which will enhance the legitimate businesses and shut down the bogus ones. In this way all of the Independent Business Owners using honesty and integrity will be protected by those who would use fraudulent practices. With legitimate Websites offering credible information about Business Opportunities, and oganizations like the Better Business Bureau there is ample information available for people to make inteligent informed decisions before registering with any Direct Seller Business. In closing, I would like to make a point....as a Police Officer, I often have to deal with people who have had less than pleasant experiences with other Officers, whether in my Department, a local one or one at a distance.....should I be held accountable for anothers less than professional behavior ? No ....neither should my abilites to perform my duties, and maintain gainful employment as such be hampered. As an Independent Business Owner the aforementioned should also apply. Dont punish the majority of us, and make it more difficult to build our business, our future for what a few may do using less than professional business practices. I thank GOD for being born in a country that has the freedoms to pursue my dreams and goals, and be able to work for it.
