I believe that PartyLite already has ethical practices in place that makes it an outstanding company. I believe you would have a hard time locating people who believe they were deceived and lost money when they tried PartyLite as a business opportunity. By passing this regulation you will prevent people who are very excited from getting started with their business right away. This can have a tremendous effect on their overall success. Also I can not believe that you did not consider privacy issues when it comes to the referral list. I would tell anyone that starting my own business through direct sales has changed my family's lifestyle and it has been wonderful - however I do believe that most people start a business such as this to spend quality time with their families and would not want to be interupted by receiving multiple calls from prospects that may never be in their own lineage. I believe that people that complain that they are victims make the rest of us victims. If they sign an agreement with a company they should understand what it is they are signing. I have never had a problem with any person that I have sponsored. Please know that your decision will impact so many direct sales consultants and their families. Don't make the public feel that a legitimate business may not be so. We already have to fight the attitudes of those that feel that this is not a worthy occupation. I have never been able to provide for my family the way I can through direct sales and I take pride in the fact that becuase I have shared this business opportunity with others their lives too have changed for the better.
