To Whom It May Concern: Thank for the opportunity to respond regarding the proposed changes to at-home business opportunities as specificed by the FTC. Only in AMERICA does this FREEDOM allow me, a business owner, to respond to a government agency without ramifications. Also, having a "watchdog" group as the FTC that assists in protecting the American citizen from unfair/unlawful business practices is what again makes AMERICA the best!! I am a business owner affiliated with a renewable contract thru Quixtar, Inc. I love the idea requiring all opportunities to provide simple, standardized income disclosures that apply to all direct sellers. Also, I support a reasonable cancellation policy. It is frustrating to see so my internet-get-rich-quick unlawful practices that penetrate thru to the American public. It continues to make it difficult for my legal business to gain efficacy as our income is thru product volume sales to retail clients and other business owners. I am not in favor of a seven-day waiting period before a prospect registration. Thru Quixtar, Inc. and my training company, World Wide Group, LLC we offer a tremendous amount of literature from multiple sources both affiliated and non-affiliated with Quixtar, Inc. prior to a registration. Therefore it is the prospects decision. I am not in favor requiring IBO references to be provided to prospects or disclosures of past litigation. It does not appear to me that other businesses in or out of direct selling that use independent contractors are provided with this type of disclosure. In conclusion, I am not in favor of requiring financial records to be disclosed to prospects. I believe that our marketing plan discloses the average incomes clearly and are not hidden. Also, I along with my training organization make it perfectly clear that this is not a something for nothing - work from home and be rich business. It requires heavy sweat equity, a dream, a work ethic, and an awesome positive attitude. Of course, that philosophy goes for life as well. thank you for your time in reading my reply. Sincerely, Marc Sondreal owner
