To whom it may concern: I agree 100%. there should be safeguards for the public. We should all be safe from scams & schemes. I am an independent business owner with the quixtar opportunity. I am always 100% upfront & honest with prospects regarding the work that is required to make a business profitable. I don't agree with a requirement to disclose all legal action for the past 10 years. I don't even know about legal lawsuits etc. I do know every company has disgruntled former customers & employees. Will you require those companies give those people as references to prospective employees? We require all people on our teams conduct themselves with Integrity. We started a business of our own to have more control over our lives. Your proposal will take alot of that control away. We want to provide a level playing field for all. We should not be required to disclose financial records. we have no idea when meeting with a prospect what their work ethic is like. how can we make financial claims or disclose records? This is an opportunity - nothing more and nothing less. We tell people all the time. If you are looking for get rich quick - this is not it. If they are willing to focus and do some work the opportunity is there. We should not have to provide prospects with past litigation. That is simply not fair. We don't have access to any of that if it even exist in quixtar. It doesn't on my team. We already provide a 6-month money back no questions asked policy. See if you get that from Subway or McDonalds. There should not be a 7-day waiting period. That would take away the freedom of someone who is ready to get their business started. Most prospects take anywhere from 2-3 weeks from time of initial visit to registration anyway. But it's their decision not a law. It's their decision to register anyway & usually they do that in the privacy of their own home without me even being present. I don't want anyone to get hurt or taken advantage of. There are alot of people out there who already can't think for themselves. They need to learn to how to think & do reasearch for themselves. Most people need to learn how to be strong and stand up to wrongs being done in there life. Don't let the bullies push them around. In my opinion, passing a proposal like this only makes people weak. We should be require to give stadardized income disclosures that apply to all direct sellers. Thankyou for the opportunity. I hope you will consider my comments and the spirit in which they are given. Sincerely Richard Williamson
