I have been an IBO (independant business owner) for one and a half years. Though I am only twenty, I am astounded by the opertunity I have to be who I want to be, and the best I can be. I understand the principals this great nation was founded on. Also, I am honerd to be living in such a great nation as the U.S. I understand the idea of looking out for the best intrest of the general public, and by saying that I applaud anyone who is protecting them from wrongful doing. My concern here with the laws proposed is the unintential harming of something great. This free interprise system does something I hope everyone is aware of, It teaches you to think! If someone based a decision on momentary thinking, it has conciquences. So I do agree everyone should be educated. I provide a Quixtar facts sheet to my new prospects along with a websight called thisbiznow.com. I try to educate newcomers exactly what they have their hands on. All newcomers in my orginization are aware that this business is NOT a get-rich scheme. If they thought contrary to that, I would be wasteing valuable time with my family, friends, and time i could be investing toward something productive. I am not only relaying the "work is required" point but it is a key point at our information sessions. Another prospective with the proposed law requiring all history on the organization, is after the initial start up of one hundred and eighty dollars (their are two packages and i suggest the energy bundle) that within the six months they can get a full refund. Just to be clear, im not ashamed to put our background out there, but in the proposal it states that the FTC wants to allow the individual to be fully aware of the companys past. But as we all know people just have to make a claim, true or untrue, accurate or inacurate and it stays on the plate. People make dicisions on that information rather than that fullness of the company. But I hope my insight was informitive and i dont want to see our business cripple or fold for any reason unnecessary. thanks NICK
