FTC, I am greatly concerned about the apposed law. I have owned my own business partnered with Quixtar Inc. for just about 1 year. I have experienced a lot while working my business. I am still very small and have not grown very much as when I first started I was still in college and now have another job. my concerncs are as followed: 1) Having to give any prospects 10 referls of local Independent Business Owners. This would hurt me because I am still a very small business and don't have 10 other people that I know well enough, who I would trust not to sign my prospect up themselves. 2) Having to wait 7 days after I talk to a prospect to sign them up. If the prospect has all of the information and decieds for themselves as an adult to sign up the next day that should be their choice. Also with my business, we give 100% money back guarantee if they sign up and feel they didn't like the opprotunity (money back includes money spent on products). 3) Having to ginve the prospect a list of all lawsuite or arbitrations over the last 10 years. This is a problem because none of these lawsuites specifically name me or my business, thus it would be unfair to penalize me by grouping me in with other peoples legal debaucles. Also any dishonest company can lie about their legal situaition, thus only the honest one will be following the laws and making us look like we are the only business' with pending or past legal issues. 4) I have a problem disclosing my own personal finacial information with other people. I am happy to let them know how much the average "active" Independent Business Owner makes at each level of their business. I also do not have a problem letting them know current information about my business. But to have to provide paperwork that states my personal information leaves me open for people to use my information illegally. I applaud the FTC for making attempts to inform people about illegal operations. But I strongly believe that this proposed law doesn't just warn people about illegal operations but also holds back and hurts honest people and their business'. Please find another solution for the aboved mentioned problems. Respectevly, John Stanton
