Dear FTC, I have been an Independent Business Owner in Quixtar since 1998. Here are some of my thoughts on the new FTC proposal concerning our networking business. This was my third time in my lifetime to join the Quixtar/Amway opportunity. Each time I was fully aware of the the company and what the business initialed. All were life changing to me as I reflect back, and improved my life. This last time in the business has been especially life enhancing not only for myself and my wife but for others we have introduced to the business. It has improved our lives not only finically but also by improving the other areas in our lives such as: Spiritual, Country, family, our jobs or small business, and our friendships by changing our skills and beliefs in ourselves and others. To require a seven day grace period before being able to signup would greatly delay the time it would take to start making money in this business and would cause a far greater number of people not to give this business a chance to work for them as it has for us and countless others in our business. When we sponsor new people in our business we always give them all the facts about the business along with letting them know that if they are not satisfied that they can always change their mind and get their money back for up to six months. (Quixtar provides this guarantee to all people). We always let them know that this business takes work and is not a get rich quick thing. We hear from people often just as we ourselves feel that we are so thankful that someone took the courage to introduce us to this business and change our lives. The Quixtar corp. has always been more than fair and upright in all of our’s and our people’s dealings with them. Providing Prospects with my income, Company litigation records, etc., would not be appropriate or beneficial as it would only limit their thinking of what they could do and/or raise questions of doubt in their minds as to would this business work for them. This business has worked for thousands and thousands of people because of their belief in themselves and the Business. Most people have self-doubt about themselves and others. We help change that doubt into a can do attitude but it takes time and trust in themselves and us. If these changes were in-acted it would virtually kill our business by making it practically impossible to have the chance to enhance others lives as ours have been enhanced. Thank you for this opportunity for my feedback, Marcus McCormick
