The proposed Business Opportunity Rule first of all has a deceptive name. What kind of opportunity is it for people who are presenting products or services to have to wait a week before they can close a sale? How would presenting prospective customers with a fair practices sheet of paper make people any less fraudulant than they are? Do we need to see something like this for anyone selling anything? Grapes? Cars? Shoes?? It makes no sense! And in order for people to buy anything, what good would it do to wait a week before the purchase can be made? It makes more sense to me to regulate our government and the people who are supposedly modeling ethical behavior. Don't you suppose they are teaching the general public how to be as manipulative and self-serving as anyone in society? The problem is not with direct sales, but with the people who make up our society who are struggling with making ends meet. This problem stems from the squeezing of the lower and middle classes so that the wealthiest few percent can make more and more millions. THAT is the problem with society. If you want a real Business Opportunity Dictate, determine limits on profits any one person can make. The idea of sufficiency is one our Western World needs to seriously considered. You cannot force immoral people to be ethical by making it more difficult for the vast majority who are working in the best interest of all. The future of business is in home-based networking opportunites. Please do not make it impossible for people to do this work by restricting the way we do business. How do you think people would react to having to wait a week before purchasing any product? It is ridiculous. The fruit would be rotten in that time period!
