HI, my name is Kirsten Schierbeek. I am married and build the Quixtar business with my husband. I wanted to comment on the proposed regulations for our Quixtar business. My husband and I have been building a business for over 2 years now and we have always been impressed with the level of honesty and integrity that quixtar stands by. It seems that to impose a rule to list all allegations against quixtar for the past 10 years seems a litte outrageous. When sharing any information about Quixtar to a potential prospect we always strongly encourage that they research Quixtar fully, which involves going to the better business bureau. What needs to be understood is there is a lot of scams/pyramids out there which in fact can give a legitimatly run business a bad name and I dont think that people who honestly run their business should be required to drudge up 10 years of allegations about Quixtar that the prospect probably doesnt even care about. A simple internet search on the BBB can provide information about past allegations if that is one of the concerns of the potential IBO. A lot of the time the IBO just wants to believe in themselves enough to be able to put a business together they dont care about cusomter service complaints or late delivery on a product. The Quixtar business is not a get rich quick scam that doesnt require work. Also unlike other so called "business" out there we do not get paid on other people signing up. The only money that is required to "sign up" is $51.00 which goes directly to Quixtar because we get paychecks processed once a month, get magazines and literature sent to us all the time and get insurance on our business. It is clearly stated that the $51.00 is fully refundable within a certain amount of time if the person chooses not to make the business work for themselves. We operate in a people business, not every person that becomes a part of the business is going to make it work for themselves they may just buy the products their whole life and be happy with that. It does take work and determination and a dream that is bigger than negative friends and relatives telling them that they cant do it in order to put this business together. We make every effort to follow every guideline put forth to ensure that we build our business with integrity and accountability because if that is not the case your business will not stand the test of time. I also object the proposed rule that would make prospects wait 7 days to register. Again, operating in a people business some people like to register in a shorter period of time than other people. We live in a free country and I dont think it is fair to impose a regulation telling people when they can start building a business for themselves and their family. This proposed rule is not fair to myself as a business owner expanding my business, but it is also not fair to someone that is looking to join our business. A lot of times this becomes a family business and the length of time required to make everyone wait seven days is quite silly. I want to point out that I like the fact that the FTC is looking at ways of legitimizing business, but It seems quite unfair to penalize the people that are doing it right. We stand on our integrity everyday that we build our business and it makes me sad to think that because some people choose to be dishonest that we would be categorized with them. Quixtar was founded on the right principles and it continues to stand on them. Because of the foundation Quixtar stands on, I am confident that as always they will continue to rise above. Thank you for your time. Kirsten Schierbeek
