I am a College Faculty in Engineering and my wife (Chemical Engineer by background) are using the Quixtar opportunity to help us develop an additional source of income. We are a Q12 Platinum level in the business (Total Sale of approx. $250,000 a year) and we started qualifying for this level with 2 years of serious part time effort of about 15-20 hours a week. We would like to appreciate and thank you for doing the work to protect an average person like us from frivolous claims made by some not so sincere opportunity manufacturers. However the ethics and the sincerity with which Quixtar and BWW has created the culture, we have always been led and we have ialwaysled others to think long term and not use this business as a "get rich quick" scheme. WE HAVE SOME SERIOUS RESERVATION ABOUT the "proposed 7-day waiting period": --- This rule forces people to stop thinking about the business opportunity that could help them tremendously. Most of the people including myself are so busy in our routine that they would not remember most of what they learned after 7 days because they are consumed by their current tasks. -- If my sponsor had not met me the next day after he showed us the opportunity, I would have lost my initial enthusiasm because of my routine and would've never given the priority to start the business. Because he did not wait and now our life is profoundly affected positively because we did not know what we were missing. -- We always and always let prospects know that this is a minimum of 2-5 year effort to make reasonable returns. We let them understand during our presentation that all credible and sustainable businesses are never built quickly. We also specifically talk about the kind of effort it takes such as how many people and clients to discuss the business & products with every month, how to educate and train yourself to develop the skills required. --- Many people in our business including us have developed a good expectation and motivation in the first few months because of the ability to sponsor and bring some of the friends and family into the business quickly. If we had to wait 7 days for everyone sponsored to have them further sponsor people, they would have never taken off (developed the initial expectation) and would've lost their focus. Today because of their initial success that kept their focus, they are now benefiting hugely. We believe when a person is new to any field (new job, ice-skating etc.), they are hesitant and need encouragement and some small success to get them going. THE PROPSED RULE FOR "The requirement to provide references"-- -- We believe this requirement definitely creates a huge possibility of someone else using our prospects to influence them to be in their business. -- Secondly it increases our work load tremendously because our name will be given by large number of Business Owners to their prospects. -- We already show the opportunity to prospects in Opportunity meetings in Hotels where large number of exsiting business owners are present and available to talk to. THE PROPOSED RULE about "Financial Substantiation": --- What we are offering is an opportunity through which they can create success. Their success or failure is not and should not be dependent on my past and my mistakes. As a father of a child, my lack of education (if it was..) should not be a reason for my child NOT to become a scholar. To require us to disclose our income is something smilar. --- It creates a catch 22 situation because everyone wants to deal with only "already successful" people or companies. If that is the case then no new person or business will ever become successful. -- All new companies & people create success not based on what they have already done but what they are capable of doing. To force Business owners to reveal their current income is making prospects think in terms of working with only "already successful" people and is violation of privacy
